Electrolytes are very important and often underestimated on low-carb diets. An imbalance can cause a number of symptoms including headaches, dizziness, cramping, and nausea. Maintaining the right balance of electrolytes helps to regulate nerve and muscle function, hydration, blood ph, and blood pressure.
